Logistic providers operate on tight schedules where charging availability must be guaranteed. However, there was no standardized and practical way to reserve charging slots that worked seamlessly for charge point operators (CPOs), mobility service providers (MSPs), and fleet operators.

Brighting partnered with Milence to design a future-proof solution. The objective was to create an industry standard for truck charger reservations that could be widely adopted across the ecosystem. The solution was designed API-first to enable seamless integration with site access control systems and fleet management software. Additionally, the existing OCPI standard was extended to ensure easy adoption and interoperability within the EV charging landscape.
