A price change that had to be printed 800 times
HEMA wanted to streamline in-store price management across more than 800 locations. Every price or article info change had to reach every shelf that carried the product.
On paper labels that takes time. Print, walk the aisle, swap the card. Mistakes creep in, and a wrong label on the shelf is a discussion at the till.
Paper also sets the pace. Retail pricing moves faster than a print run, and the labels could not keep up with it.
The prices and the stock figures were already in HEMA’s central systems. Nothing carried them to the shelf.
One integration layer between the database and the shelf
We designed and developed a robust integration layer between HEMA’s central system and the Electronic Shelf Label platform. Prices and article information come out of the databases HEMA already runs and land on the label.
